What are you going to do if disaster strikes?
What are you going to do if disaster strikes?

It’s easy to think ‘it’ll never happen to me’….. but what are you going to do if it does?

Today it’s easier than ever to work from home and indeed, in many cases it’s becoming the norm. Technology has enabled the workforce of today to be itinerant and flexible. That said, whilst many people can work from home there is often a group of people within the business who still need to work together. If disaster strikes, do you have a plan in place to ensure you can carry on with buisness as usual? If not, we might just have an affordable and scaleable solution for you.

The Engine House, if you don’t already know about it, is a co-working space located in Castletown in the former Canada Life building on Alexandra Bridge. It is fully CAT6 cabled so that clients can either hook onto the superfast Wifi or plug directly into the broadband. We have a Kyocera Taskalfa printer which scans, prints and copies and users get a printer code on joining so that any prints can be tracked and charged on a usage basis. We also have secure shredding provided by G4S and can provide VoiP telephones if needed for a small additional fee.

Our disaster recovery package essentially ‘reserves’ a number of desks at a deeply discounted rate to our normal fees. Our hotdesk offering is £100 per month plus VAT per person and for that you can use the building from 8.30am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday. This also gives access to the members’ rate for board room hire (50% discount to the premium rate).

The DR package costs £25 per month per person plus VAT with all of the benefits available to our hot desk members (hours can be extended if required). This is a ‘reservation’ fee so that in the event of something happening you would have priority access over all other hot desk users to ensure that your team can continue working efficiently together. In the event of needing to use The Engine House, we would reserve a bank of desks (however many you have been paying for) and these would be held for your team without having to move around each day as traditional hot deskers would normally do. Our desks are designed to seat 4 hot deskers comfortably. Included in the price are 2 days a year when you can give your disaster recovery plan a ‘dry run’.

Should the worst happen, and the desks be required, the full rate of £100 plus VAT per person per month kicks in for the period that the space is required.
